Kevin Tomlin is a licensed professional counselor and certified. Substance Use Disorder Professional in active practice at Behavioral Neuropsychology. Kevin is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, and he actively runs and facilitates Motivational
Interviewing trainees on an ongoing basis. Kevin has been practicing and teaching within the field for more than 13 years. He was influenced by his own experiences in addiction recovery and therapy to begin the journey as a counselor and has worked tirelessly to dispel the stigma and negative perceptions often held within culturally diverse communities. His focus of late has been working with individuals experiencing ambivalence about making significant changes and growth in their life.
Kevin attended Lewis and Clark College Graduate School of Education and Counseling for three years and completed a Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology with a specialization in addiction studies.
Kevin continues to practice individual and group counseling teens, emerging adults, college students, and adults with substance use and abuse issues. He is a certified drug and alcohol counselor and assessor. He teaches Motivational Interviewing skills to professionals and
paraprofessionals in wide-ranging cultural climates for mental health and addiction issues. Kevin has worked in community counseling with underserved populations, with high school students, college students, adults, and dedicates his practice to helping people with substance use
issues and disorders in addiction treatment and recovery.
